Diploma of Community Services
This qualification reflects the role of community services workers involved in the delivery, management and coordination of person-centered services to individuals, groups, and communities.
At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously within their scope of practice under broad directions from senior management.
Workers support people to make change in their lives to improve personal and social wellbeing and may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers. They may also undertake case management and program coordination.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 200 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
Industry placement included
200 hours of mandatory work placement is required to complete this qualification, as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

After completing this qualification, you may progress through the following pathway:
Exit point & award
Students that successfully complete all 20 units of competency as stated in the Course Structure will be issued with CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services. This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Students that complete some but not all of the units of competency as stated in the Course Structure may be issued with a Statement of Attainment. It will identify only those units of competence that have been completed as part of the qualification and recognised nationally under the AQF.

- Minimum age: 18 years at the time of enrolment
- English language proficiency: IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in each module) or equivalent test accepted by the Department of Home Affairs. View accepted tests →
